August 30th Releases and Restocks

I cannot believe that August has come and gone. The Colorado State Fair is in full swing and the plague of flies has hit the city. The wondrous scent of Green Chili being roasted wafts in the air. Smoke providing the hints of cooler afternoons and rainy nights. The children are back in school now. 4 days just isn't enough, I lament missing out on the structure of Friday school. If only.

The earlier darkness of night is inching towards the peak time for vinyl listening. Epic new vinyl releases are hitting the pre-order box and crates of LPs are hitting the racks at Analogue.

To say I'm excited is an understatement! Rocktober is only a month away!! 4 September release dates and one last August Friday stands in the way! BUT, I don't want to spoil the fun too soon. More on Rocktober later....first up is August 30th.

NEW RELEASES AUGUST 30th.

Denzel Curry - Kink of the Mischievous South Vol. 2.

Fifteen new songs will hit your turntable with the bombast in the classic southern rap style.

Nails - Every Bridge Burning

Thrash Metal grindcore! This is what happens when you give the cookie monster a red bull and a whole flat of Oreo Cookies! Epic. Sound. Sludgy guitars. Wild solos! Our coffee roaster assistant Latisha will just love this. Honestly, I prefer this to Denzel Curry.

MomJeans. Best Buds - Reissue

Their Debut LP from 2016 available now on white vinyl. This contains their most streamed track, Death Cup. Nice indy rock with interesting lyrics.

Death CuP:

So what's the point of talking

If you're not changing your mind?

It just reminds me of the lying

And it's wasting my time

So was it worth it to me

To wait around and then see

If all my love was well spent

My night-time hikes and weekends

You are my best friend

And I don't want this to end

Nick Cave: Wild God

I'm a little too excited for this record to come out. I just watched the Stephen Colbert interview again! I just can't wrap my mind around Nick Cave claiming this will be an upbeat record. How can the guy responsible for and LP called 'Murder Ballads' ever put together an upbeat record? The lead singles Wild God and Frogs sound beautiful and Nick's awkward delivery is somehow sweet and haunting.

Oasis - Definelty Maybe

2LP set. This is Oasis's debut LP. It was HUGE in the UK but didn't get much airplay here in the states until Morning Glory was released the next year. I've taken home the 4LP set to enjoy on release date.

Other New Releases:

Stray Cats

U2 - Zoo (live).

David Bowie

Plus we have a great assortment of resotcks!

Bob Marley - Legend and Exodus and Survival

Metallica - ReLoad, Kill em All, Master of Puppets

Awolnation

Alice in Chains - Dirt & Jar of Flies

Stan Getz

Nina Simone and Radiohead!
